How it all began

I remember being in high school sitting in my humanities class falling asleep in the dimly lit room while my teacher spoke at length about his favorite Michelangelo artwork he had projected on the screen. It was remarkable how that room was always too cold to fall asleep, and too cold to stay awake. This particular day we’d start our studies of ancient Greek art and architecture.

From the time the first picture made it on the screen I was hooked. For the next three weeks I took in as much information as I could about the most popular ancient European civilizations; Greece and Rome. I decided in that classroom in 2002 that “one day” I’d see the world…
