Raddison Hotel Valley Forge

Stay Date: Summer 2015

Reason: business

Review:

They’d have to pay me to stay here again…

The only draw to this hotel is that they have a few onsite restaurants. Supposedly they are remodeling so things could improve. The guest rooms are a nice size but very very dated (minus the sleep number beds which really blow my mind). My room had a very damp smell to it, and while there is a balcony, it has been “sealed for your safety and comfort” which is understandable, for the gambling loss jumpers, but there is no way to get fresh air in to the dank room.

We chose this venue for a conference, and the conference space looks like it hasn’t been touched since at least 1979. Internet service is terrible and the layout of the facility is confusing to attendees. Wifi is TERRIBLE. I speedtested at less than 1mbps in several different places in the hotel….bring a hotspot.

On the upside though: There is a casino on the property, and they give you 10$ in free slot money if you’ve never been there before.

Would I return to this venue, no, not unless they were giving out free chips at the blackjack table.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window that faces outdoors. Or they will put you in a room with a window that faces a brick exterior wall.
