Travel thoughts: put your phone down

Back in 2012, before I went abroad with my graduate student program, we we were all given a piece of advice: you dont have to take pictures of everything, put your phone or camera down and enjoy the moments and things happening around you.

I didn’t really take that to heart back then, but I did try it and I must say it does make a difference. I think as travelers in a new place, we get so caught up in the moment that we forget to feel the energy, watch the people and just exist in a space that’s outside of our home.

So, I extend that advice to you all. Put your devices down( take some pictures of course) and just enjoy!
